Ch. Clansmen SureShot (1989 - 1997) - Ben was Parker's brother and left here at 8 weeks of age to live with Susie Pitman. That partnership led to some great wins; his Can. Championship, 32 consecutive BOB, his first specialty win at the age of 2 years (Westwinds under breeder/judge Sandy Gunn),a Group 2nd, 3rd, and two Group 4ths. He was also pointed with a major in the US. However, his final and the most significant win was his second BOB win at the Westwinds Sporting Dog Spec., the day of the GSCC National, surrounded by some very significant competition.

Even more remarkable than their wins together was some of the assorted tricks that Susie taught him, capitalizing on his obvious intelligence. The most incredible one saw Ben selecting a specific toy from a pile on command by name. The fact that he knew the names of twenty different toys was certainly amazing. Ben traveled with Susie to the US and was to make his way, with her, to the UK. Before that, however, he died as the result of a terrible car accident that also seriously injured Susie. A very sad end to a beautiful dog.
