Blaze
Ch. SureShot Painted Lady - Never one to love the show ring, Blaze spent just long enough in the ring to get her championship. She was blesssed with a beautiful head, with dark pigment and nice clean definition between black and tan colouring, and a strong driving side gait. More than anything though, her sweet temperament made her a standout with all she met. She also turned out to be a magnificent mother and probably enjoyed that more than anything else she'd ever done. You can see some of her puppies' pictures by going to the March litter page or to the October litter page.

As Blaze headed into her older years, we were asked if we'd consider "lending" our darling Blaze to Tanner's 'grandmother' who had recently lost her long-time canine companion and really needed to have another dog around. It took a lot of internal debate to let her go (the first time I have ever placed one of my retired dogs) but she and her new companion became inseparable and I knew I couldn't change my mind and get her back. Her passing left an empty hole in the hearts of all who knew her during her long life.
