SureShot Great Adventure - We were heartbroken to hear of the loss of Buck in 2011 from numerous complications due to a tear in his diaphram, the undetected result of a prior accidental trauma. His family, the Burkes, were understandably devastated as the loss was unexpected and much too soon. I received this from his owner: Over his lifespan based on his call log Buck worked 189 wildlife service calls in two states and three provinces, located and retrieved 47 lost VHS radio and failed GPS ungulate tracking collars when those animals and the mortality signal or batteries failed on the collar and we just a had a general area to work in – the retrieval of these collars and the data gained was priceless. He may have passed in his prime, but you should be very proud he was recognised across north America for his abilities in our chosen field. While it was not the show or agility ring he went out as a champion.
