Ch. SureShot Kashtin (1994-2000) It took me almost two months to move Cat's page from our "Stars" page to this one. I guess I'd finally accepted that she was no longer here. At the very, very young age of five, she was stricken with a bacterial infection that was so virulent that, despite the heroic efforts of our veterinarian, we lost her in four hours. That may be one of the hardest losses - a happy, seemingly healthy dog one moment, gone less than twelve hours later with, basically, no real explanation for how such a thing could happen to a healthy dog.

Catfish started out life as Kashtin but, for reasons unknown to me, Bill quickly changed it to Catfish. I figured, if I could convince him that we would keep her, I'd let him call her anything he wanted. So, Catfish it was. As a young puppy, her first time in the ring counted as she went BOB over specials for her first points. Then, we decided to sit her out until she matured a bit. When we brought her out the next time, she never left the ring without the points and quickly had her championship in tow. Terribly missed.
