(From Romeo & Juliet: III.ii.23-6) Everywhere I go Every smile I see I know you are there Smilin' back at me Dancin' in moonlight I know you are free Cuz' I can see your star Shinin' down on me (From Janet Jackson's Together Again) Bred by, and co-owned with, Robyn Wallis, Rokeena Kennels in Australia, Swagger possessed strengths we'd been searching out to add to our breeding program. This search went world-wide and we were excited and pleased to find the type of dog we've always been attracted to (and hoped we were producing) along with a stunning front assembly. Although he wasn't in the showring much for his first year in Canada, in early 2002, he finished his championship on a wonderful weekend that included a Group 2nd and Group 3rd (handled by Lance Carmen) and, by the time two weeks had gone by, he had six groups placements to his credit. With these wins, he managed to garner a 4th place for Top Gordons in Canada. During 2003, we were a little hampered due to his handler's debilitating knee problem that shut things down for many weekends. However, the year started with a bang as Swagger captured a wonderful Best in Show at an all-breed show under an international judge. This, along with several group wins, put Swagger at #2 for Top Gordons for 2003. Swagger has several pages you can look at. In addition to the two litters he produced for us, Sassenach Gordons had a litter sired by Swagger, out of their girl Am.Can.Ch.Sassenach Limited Edition. In the fall of 2002, he sired a litter out of Ch. Timberlane Going In Style, JH. Check out this cute pic of some of the puppies.
Swagger was BVA hip scored (4/6) and also examed for CERF registration on a yearly basis. |
