| Zoe, Ch. SureShot Segue, AgN, AgNJ Zoe was the question mark girl in the litter. I wasn't going to keep a girl but she subtly caught my eye whenever I was looking at the litter. Not the standout but just a very nice solid girl with nothing against her. A series of weird timing issues and indecision meant that she was still at SureShot when the holiday flight embargos were put on. She stayed and my desire to send her anywhere diminished daily. Zoe quickly carved out her niche in our home and our hearts. At first, our focus was on the agility ring. She was not quite as "full out" at practice as Erin but picked up a lot of speed once she was on a trial course with her biddable nature translating into a more controlled and responsive run. As Zoe has matured, I loved her from a conformation standpoint as well and she picked up her conformation title very quickly once we finally got out into the show ring. Unfortunately, a serious injury in the backyard, resulted in a shoulder inflammation which we've been unable to resolve. Although I'd wishfully hoped for a return to agility, two years of treatments made me admit that was impossible. She now takes up a place on the retirement page but, it'd sure be great to move her back to the stars page ('cause she really is my special couch star). See more of her pictures here. Zoe is BVA hip scored and examined for CERF certification yearly. |
