Another new title for Erin
After attending a one day AAC trial this weekend,
Erin now proudly boasts another new title to make her name Ch. Rokeena Downunder
Delite, AgN, AgNS, AgnJS, NAC, ADC. She would also have picked up a qualifier
on her advanced jumpers round but her handler sent her over the wrong jump
(whoopsey). Meanwhile, Ticket, on her second outing ever, developed a serious
case of the "zooms" on her first two runs. It was just a tad weird as she flew
around the course, unmindful of my directions, jumping over tunnels and the
table, but settling in to do this amazing set of weaves. I was left in the dust
as a spectator only. After two runs like that, I decided we needed a bit more
focus so we sat down outside the ring for some serious cuddle time.
Surprisingly, that worked and her final run of the day, a jumpers course, was
lovely.
A round of applause for the group that put on this trial, OC Agility, and the judge of the day, Julie Press. The trial was to honour veteran dogs and they made the day very special with lovely personalized ribbons for all the veterans. I'm not much of ribbon collector but Erin's ribbon is just so pretty it got hung up right away. Pictures were taken of all the vets (I think we missed one of them because we were on course at the time) and there was just an extra bit of celebrating when any of the veterans Q'd or got a title. What a wonderful trial for Erin to pick up her new title at!!
