These are the dogs that were bred at Rokeena Kennels. Click on the individual names to see more pictures of each of them as well as their pedigrees.
'CeeJay' is from our 'B' Litter (I know the pet name is confusing, but it is short for 'Chase Junior' as this young dog has something about him that has reminded me of his father since he was about 6 weeks old). He is out of 'Pretty's' first litter at Rokeena and at this stage he looks like he is going to go a long way with his classic PBGV looks, his fabulous 'up' temperament and his strong sound movement which has taken him to great heights already, in his short show career with him taking out DCC at Adelaide Royal along with him being in the final cut of puppies for puppy in Group at both Adelaide and Melbourne Royal in 2003, Puppy in Show at the Victorian Hound Specialty and then finally Best Puppy In Show at Launceston Royal. He has also notched up two Best In Group (No 1) awards All Breeds to date and is still only 15 months old. We feel the future is at his feet and can only look forward to what he can offer the kennels in the future as a sire.
'Jean Claude' and his brother 'Rokeena Anime Ardelion' (Harry) have the auspicious notoriety of being the first PBGV's to carry the 'Rokeena' prefix, hence their 'A' names. They are bred in the 'purple' as they say, from combining their mother 'Wispa's 'bloodlines (some of the finest French lines) with their famous father 'Chase's' bloodlines which incorporate the US, French and Danish lines. 'Jean Claude' began his show career on a high note with Baby Puppy in Show at his second outing and has continued to dazzle the judges collecting a multitude of Class In Show awards and at only 8 and half months he has already eclipsed his father's record at Royal shows, by winning Reserve in the Hound Group at Sydney Easter Royal Show (Easter 2003). He easily gained enough points for his Australian Championship title in January 2004 and quickly followed with two Best In Group (No 1) All Breeds. He has also sired his first litter and has produced 4 Age Group winning puppies already, so it looks as though he is well on the way to stamping his mark at 'Rokeena'. He now lives with, is co owned and handled by Matt Penman in NSW .
'Harry' is the only other member of the "A" litter and so of course a full brother to 'Jean Claude'. He is co-owned, loved and lives with his doting mother Amy Milburn in Western Australia. 'Harry' is a tri-colour like his famous father 'Chase' and I think you will agree looks very much like him. 'Harry' also began his show career with a Baby Puppy In Group. Much to Amy and my delight Harry now has added the 'Aust. Ch.' title to his name also. Harry will be accompanying Amy to the USA in the middle of the year where they will take up residency (Amy originally comes from the US) and if all goes well, we hope Harry will soon be able to add Am. Ch. to his name as well and all here at Rokeena wish Amy and Harry a safe and easy transfer to the US. 'Celine' is from Pretty's first 'Rokeena litter'. She was the bitch that both Gunnar & Holger and I liked and was actually supposed to go to Denmark to Chouan, but always the most gracious of people who always do their best to help other PBGV breeders, Gunnar and Holger have let me keep her here and will get a puppy from her in the future. She is a lovely bitch who as a puppy a number of Baby Puppy In Group and In Show awards down here in Victoria including her win of Bitch Challenge at Melbourne Royal. Whilst a baby she was handled by Leigh McVilly, who showed her superbly, she has since spent the last 6 month with Matt Penmann in NSW with Jean Claude, where she gained enough points for her Aust.Ch. title also along with an number of Age In Group awards along the way. With her lovely nature and conformation we are sure she is going to be of great value to Rokeena in the future as a foundation bitch. 'Peaches' is from our 'C' litter and shares the unique fame of being a member of our first litter sired by a 'Rokeena' PBGV. She is a wonderful fun loving Peeb who has made her name in the show ring already, taking out RUBOB at Sydney Royal in strong competition, beating open aged dogs and older bitches at 9 months of age, along with gaining her Australian Champion title at only 14 months. We expect great things from this lovely bitch both in the ring and in the future as part of our growing gene pool at Rokeena. |
